With a passion for music that spans 4 decades, Danny Kwang can drift seamlessly from soul, funk & rare groove to hip hop, jazz funk & disco, to soulful house, nu disco and deep house.

Originally from London, Danny's musical journey began in 2001 when he moved to Leeds. After being a religious follower of the legendarySpeed Queen at The Warehouse in Leeds, Danny was given the opportunity to play in the backroom.  Playing a mixture of disco, funk, 80's groove and anything not house, Danny soon became one of their glittering residents, playing regularly to 800 people week in week out, alternating between the frenetic energy of the Main Room and the funkier upstairs.

More residencies followed at Love To Be, Gladrags at Space and guest spots at venues and parties across the city. Danny set up his own club night, Open Wide, which brought live artists and DJ's together to deliver an unforgettable clubbing experience. Open Wide was voted in the Top 5 club nights in the North by Mixmag and hosted Room 2 at the world renowned Gatecrasher. What started off as a hobby soon saw him warming up for the likes of Jazzie B, DJ Disciple, Groove Armada & Alister Whitehead.

Since moving to Dubai in 2012, Danny has quickly carved a reputation within the burgeoning clubbing scene, holding down residencies at Must have soul 360 Dubai, Audiotonic 360 Dubai , Sunstroke 360 Dubai, Escape at 360 Dubai and guesting for SunnyVibeUp, Superheroes and Deep Crates Cartel amongst others.
